A Trip to Vinkovci

The Adriatic Coast is one of the most beautiful places in Europe, and the Trip to Vinkovci in Croatia will definitely make you fall in love with Croatia. It is often referred as the Venice of the Adriatic. It has been a favorite destination of those who love art and architecture – and for good reason. Here are some of the main attractions you should definitely see during your trip to Vinkovci:

Trip to Vinkovci

Sibenik Island – It is called Sibenik Island because this is where the oldest settlements, which were built in the tenth and eleventh centuries, are located. At the moment, the island is inhabited by several families who make their living from growing herbs and olives. One of the most interesting sights you can see while taking a trip to Vinkovci is the Catullo Ligure, which is a structure with a leaning tower and an archway leading straight up to the top of the tower. It is believed that the catullo was created by an Italian hunter, as the name implies. The view from the top is breathtaking!

Zadar – This is another beautiful place in the Adriatic, but it is even more spectacular when you are cruising on a yacht. The island has beautiful beaches and lovely, clear waters. You can spend several hours simply lying back on one of the many verandas on the island, sipping your favorite cocktail. If you want to get up and move a little, there are many nice beaches on Zadar – such as Finos, on the north coast.

Cetina – It used to be called the Little Venice, but since Venetian mariners settled here in the 15th century, it has turned into a very busy tourist destination. Today, there are over 60 restaurants, and a lot more bars and discos. If you want to relax on a sunny day, why not go out with a glass of wine and a good book? If you are interested in culture and history, you should go out to Scaliger Square and see what the merchants have to offer. When you travel around Cetina, make sure to stop at the Zlobnice Museum. It has some great paintings and artifacts.

– This island is located just to the east of Vinkovci and is home to fewer tourists, but it still has its own charm. There are many villas in Sale, and you can easily spend a day enjoying the local culture and food. If you are traveling with children, there are some wonderful daycare centers on the island that will fit them easily. When you travel around this island, be sure to take a walk along the beaches and perhaps pay a visit to St. John’s Church.

If you like history, you will love this region. It is home to a number of museums, including an important museum that was once the birthplace of the Roman Emperor around sixty years ago. Of course, when you plan your trip, try to schedule a trip to the Zyazhipekh mountains. You can explore the massive Tajalli caves, which are located underground. In fact, during your trip to Vinkovci you may also want to go to the Pirin Mountains – these can be great if you plan to trek to the Urals.
